trailered my bike to a small locksmith shop. They had the blank and did it cheap. They just needed my registration to make sure the bike was mine. Call around, some locksmiths will milk you for every penny.

Take your upper triple clamp off. Unplug the connector for the key/lock, takes about 2 mins. Take it to the dealer and they can press a key out for you for about 5 bucks. The key code is on the connector under the steering key/lock

I know this won't help you much at this point but I have three keys to every bike I own. I keep one at home, one I ride with and the last key stays on a ring attached to my belt loop. The key I ride with has a ring connected to a small caribiner. When I get off the bike it goes straight to my belt loop. I ride too far too often to be able to afford losing a key. This also may be a very dumb question but did you check your trunk seat release? Not questioning your intelligence but I see it all the time. If I was a bike thief I could have "owned" a few bikes in my time, lol.

yes,checked all the idiot spots,and nothing.i took the triple off and im taking it to the dealer.thanks ian:notworthy

I bought a salvaged bike with out keys. Dealer made a key in 5min. about 5-10 bucks. Since your going to the dealer get a few extra spares.:twocents
