IMO, of course he is. As will the others with the exception of Ducati possibly.
The Japanese companies make most of the bikes in all of the motorcycle championships.
Ducati (and Rossi) might use the virtually non-existant radiation danger as an excuse to avoid further embarrassment this season.
Surprise surprise.
I agree Ducati may well use radiation as an excuse to do some testing with the new bike in secret.

You're funny. Totally offbase of course, but funny.

How so?
Radiation or Ducati?
Or you just just don't agree with me?
so if Yamaha goes and Stoner sits it out, that would put a spin on the points race, wouldn't it?...
If Lorenzo is going, SToner is force to go to protect his championship.

This part....."an excuse to avoid further embarrassment this season"

Ducati Corse (and Rossi) has been comprehensively embarrassed already....yet they show absolutely nothing but more determination to find the solution to their problems....they will use every opportunity possible to test for next season, IMO.

OK. Fair enough but they kind of have to, right? Can't blame Rossi, like they did Melandri and Stoner (to a degree). They painted themselves into a corner.
Just a thought but they save money and face since it looks like they are out of engines, or close to it as well. Factory Ducati Corse and Rossi starting from pit lane? This season has been a disaster for Ducati and Rossi, the sooner it ends the happier they will be.

Seems like some people are confusing desperation for determination.;)

No argument on the disaster aspect, for both Ducati and Rossi.

But I think they would love an extended season, to give themselves more time before 2012, not less. They need every last minute of track time possible....
rather curious to see if they will roll out the bike that was 1.5 seconds faster or not?...

Curious to see if the bike actually WAS 1.5 secs faster or not. Can't believe much coming from them lately. After all, they were committed to the carbon frame.
Reed College Nuclear Reactor Students stand above the water-filled pool that
houses Reed College’s 250-kilowatt research nuclear reactor... See the pretty
blue glow??? thats Cherenkov radiation... the kids are beholding it with respect...

cool picture, but what does that have to do with anything? you could swim in that pool and be fine. I think aside from a breached core the most dangerous thing to be found in those pools are some weird strains of bacteria. It's basically just light (like a bulb) radiation.
Don't go confusing uncle with facts.
It's blue radiation, those people in that picture are doomed.

Agreed, wholeheartedly.

It's funny when Honda was in the doldrums all those years I don't think anyone made as much news of it as they have the Ducati situation. I seriously believe there have been more articles about what is wrong with Ducati in 1 season compared to what was wrong with Honda for all those seasons and now what is right with Honda.

Certainly Honda was getting it wrong for many years while Yamaha dominated. Certainly now we can't say it was just that Yamaha had Rossi on board. Contrary to the old rider v. bike fantasy or the Rossi turning a POS into a champion in one fell swoop - BS of the 1st season with Yamaha.

Credit where it is due, he actually said something that was topical. :D
