·I am looking for a new tank for my Hawk GT. I am not picky on color, a few minor dents would be okay, just looking for something rustfree. IM me, post back here, or e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks.
I also need a new tank since mine is pretty badly dented (from the previous owner). I am interested in using a VTR 1000 tank, especially since it holds more fuel. Can anyone tell me if any of the VTR 1000 tanks would work this way? Or only particular years? Would the seat need modifying?A guy I talked to on another site mounted a superhawk tank on his hawk. He said it bolted right on. That may be a option for you.
I too am looking for a new tank. My bike is an 89 gt. I don't care if it has rust in it as long as the outside isn't too beat up and it doesn't have Kreem on the inside.I have a KREEM rust repair kit, but the rust is so bad in the tank, that if I use the etching acid it will eat all the way through. I will try the shock on the track for the first time on August 29th and 30th at VIR. I will have my Thermosman reworked forks on there then too.
