finished up a couple of projects on the hawk. I had my spare wheels powdercoated white, and restored an OEM rear fender:

I've always been an fan of Mr.Honda's sweet little dancer... I built parts for a
couple of Honda Hawks for customers... Shawn Reilly won a championship with
his and Dan Cooper raced Daytona on his...

I even had plans to take a rolling chassis and shoe horn in my 500 V4
Interceptor but it was off by 10mm... the frame was too narrow and the
engine too wide...

Nice bike, looks very original, stock pipe 'n all. I like that seat!

My RC31 never ceases to amaze me as a brilliant all-rounder. It did over 300 miles on a day trip last Sunday and then got put to work as a commuter bike Monday morning, not bad for a 22 year old. NOTHING can touch it for blasting a path through Bangkok traffic, it'll go wherever there's a space for the smallest scooter and of course leave them for dead when the lights change. With a few basic mods they really are fun bikes to ride.

Yes, they are great handlers due to the "massive" frame compared to the weight but the motor......... uggh, that POS motor. Merely OK in the very tight twisties but an absolute dog if you ride anywhere else.

That bike holds the record for the shortest time in my garage (circa '92) since I live around more straights than twisties. But yes, the hook was set and I bought the very first SuperHawk in my region; a MUCH better and complete streetbike IMNSHO.

If you want a better, more modern Hawk, throw a SSSA on an SV650 and stop waiting. :rockon

some of us dont need 1000cc to enjoy a bike :p My hawk holds it own just fine. And I dont want an SV with a heavier swingarm :wacky Much of the Hawk's appeal is is relative simplicity and its 'before its time' modern appeal.

and IMESHO, superhawks arent that super
