A co worker bought a custom chopper for $40k rode it once and sold it. Bought an 08' VFR soon after that.
He said they just seemed cool but terribly impractical. I guess what I'm saying is I never understood the success on custom cruisers and choppers to begin with.

I'm sure JJ will be fine, the shop is closed but the brand will still be around.

I don't have a problem with choppers, it just became the flavor of the month like tattoos have become. Every sheep in the flock had to have one because it was the popular thing to do because they saw it on tv.

Of course just like everything else in the world. Sheeps copy whatever is cool at the moment. Choppers suck so bad now that OCC even opened up a Ducati shop in orange county, NY. Has Ducati possibly slipped into the leghumper sheep crowd????:banghead

Maybe he will re-open something in Austin. A lot of money in Austin with the state capitol, Dell computers, and some "old" money from the Texas oil days. My parents used to live there, it is a really neat place.

If he did this though he would have to rename it for the area.

Hot As F^$% Choppers has a nice ring to it.

That OCC Ducati dealership is history, it's amazing how quiet they kept the fact that they no longer have a Ducati franchise.

Jesse has a custom car shop in Austin I believe, but how many people are going to keep lining up for $60-100K choppers? Cars at least have a larger market appeal than custom choppers.
