What is the difference between the "circuit best lap" and the "circuit record lap"?
Circuit best lap is the absolute fastest lap ever run at the circuit during qualifying, practice or a race whereas circuit record lap is strictly the racing lap record.

Both Suzukis are doing well. I guess the Suzuki/Bridgestone combination must be really good! Now, if Hopper and KRJR can only produce fast race pace consistently lap after lap, they may really have a chance to be on the podium!

True, but Hopper wins the FP by using the qualifying tire. Ducati/Capirossi is the real fastest Bridgestone guy out there right now with consistent fast lap time. Rossi is far behind on Michelin although Bridgestone definitely had more data/experience with Motegi (like Dunlop in all US tracks). He said he had some problem with the tires, we'll see how much he can improve tomorrow when Michelin figure out which tires to use.
