UPDATE 2005-04-28: It looks like I can leave this behind me 'cause today I received a tracking number. Hopefully I can soon send the heads to the mechanics

How do you feel about this when dealing with an internet vendor with good reputation for customer service and things goes like this?

The invoice is sent and payed by me using PayPal April 6th.

1) You are about to order some engine parts and have heard good things about this internet shop, so you decide to order some engine parts.

2) Before you order, you ask and verify again that every part is in stock. The vendor replies that everything is in stock with a big YES on every question.

3) You then agree to their international shipping policy and pay immediatly, within minutes using PayPal.

4) You comply by the letter with their international shipping policy by not hassle them for a tracking number before 14 days since payment has past. However, after two week there is no news about the parts so you contact him and finds out that apparently one of the items you order is not in stock and that the whole country is out of them. He then offers to send everything except that one item. That's is fine with you and the vendor says he'll send it "right away".

5) After another week, still no parts, so you ask for a tracking number and learns that nothing has been shipped and that part was to be shipped later is th reason thet nothing has been shipped to save on international shipping cost.

6) You then reply and offers to cancel the order of that one missing part so the other part scan be shipped, and then comes silence... (or at least no same day response, or no next day either as it looks)

What do you say, should I feel like and idiot because I'm on this guys back? Should you've canceled everything and claimed your money back and found another source? Or is this the way things are done nowadays, or is this what they mean with great service, You have paid them $1000 and gets treated like an idiot, an idiot with no parts?

/Uffe

Fact is, the April 20th I bought some parts from a Speedzilla board member and those parts was at my house April 25th. I paid $15 shipping for USPS EMS. That is great service.

I would call and cancel if at all possible. Have them refund your money since they have not been shipped.

I ordered a slipper clutch from the UK once and it came in 2 days. Much faster than anyone shipping from the US. I didn't pay extra for next day or anything. It was a flat rate. That's what you call service!!

I would ask for the money back. However, you might have to pay restocking fee if they do have any of the parts.
