OK, I pulled my '01 750M out of the garage this morning, started her up and cruised the 15 miles to work. I get to work, pop the kill switch, only to hear the starter engaged and turning the motor over. I jiggled the starter toggle a few times, no change, she just kept cranking. I popped the seat and removed the battery positive lead and came into my office and wrote this. Any suggestions? 1st, where is the starter solenoid? This is a new beastie for me, and the manual is sitting...where else...at home. I need to do a photoshoot today, and I'm phoqued without the ride...anyone with advice would be appreciated.

Re: Immediate, everyone! 911, Help!!! Starter issue in real time. (SoCalMonster)

Just follow the big wire back from the starter, it goes to the starter solenoid which is sticking. Try tapping it when you get power back to it and maybe it will release.

Excellent. One more question. What type of Yamaha solenoid did you use?

Lol. I read this thread yesterday.

And guess what, last night I was dreaming .... and my bike in my dream did the same thing. I remember in my dream calling 911 asking them to get me in touch with Monster Man.

Re: (jbraslins)

CA Cycleworks to the rescue. Ordered the part yesterday and it went out in the mail that day. Way cool. Thanks everyone; I was so pissed yesterday I wasn't seeing straight.
BTW, I'll be welding up exhaust pipes this weekend. The cherry bombs showed up yesterday, and I expect pipe and I expect the last radius this week.
