Thinking about buying a RC 51 due to my 2001 Honda 929RR being stolen. I loved the 929 but am not that impressed with the 1000RR. I can't find an used 01 929's so I'm gonna buy new and started looking at the RC 51. I was just wondering how it handles being a little over weight compared to the 929.

"not impressed with the 1000RR" ?
Remove 40 horsepower and add roughly 50lbs. Now you'll really be impressed.

A std RC51 is noticably heavier but it is also very stable and with a little extra ride height from shimming the rear shock or different linkage, turns quite well.I've not ridden one,but friends who've had them described the 929/954 as flighty in comparison.

I love my RC, rode the 954 and my RC was less powerful but felt a little more stable, guess it depends on what your looking for. Not sure were you are from, Mid America Powersports here in Wichita Kansas has a CBR929 for sale, not sure what they want or how many miles it's got on it but you could google them and give them a call.
