I was cleaning my bike the other day when a big old piece of paint flaked off my frame

It's only been about 1 1/2 years since I had my frame painted so I rode straight to the paint shop that did my frame to show them their piss poor job! ........... After checking some paint samples out they told me they had a problem during that time frame with some of their primers and I'm not the only one having this happen.

Needless to say they are going to repaint it along with a little something for my time since I have to take the bike apart.......AGAIN! Why couldn't I have found this back in Dec

Ohh man

They better REALLY make it up to you somehow. That sucks. $hit happens, but it isn't like an easy quick job. If you didn't replace bearings, etc the first go around, me thinks if they picked those up for you it may make it fair.

Either that, or get your rims or fairings done for free.

Just curious, was it a Sherman-Williams brand paint or primer? I ask because my girlfriend had a similar thing happen on her car. The body shop told her they had a lot of problems due to a bad batch of paint and primer and they've had to redo a lot of cars.

one word ---->"powdercoat"
paint scratches too easy and flakes, powdercoating is a better "glue" than paint
