knida want to try out gp shift for this race season, i know of the ups and downs of going to it but gunna give it a shot

I looked up on rogue's page and found the the VFR800 shifter will do the job, is there a exatct year i want to order the shifter from or are the the same every year

I believed mine is a 98 but pretty sure most will work since the distant from the rearset to shifter shaft stayed relatively the same.

A Blackbird shifter works also...same as a VFR.

No kidding... I had gusy SO afraid of GP shifting(and they should be) but good lord..they think it will BITE them or something. THe pattern is reverse..OOOooohHH..scary. LOL

It does take a bit of time to learn/engrain into your cranium though. Harder if you have a standard shifting bike and switch back and forth.

I had plenty of time shifting up going into a corner or vise versa.

i used shifter from '00 blackbird, it took sometimes to get use to it but i love it......

Used the VFR shifter. You will absolutely love the GP shift. So much smoother in corners.

using it too... only drawback is fitting a quickshifter to it...
i think my lever is from an f4i... been so long since i fitted it i can't remember.

This saves all the drag and lash out of a linked shifter mechanism which makes quicker and more accurate shifting.
I had tried this on a bike that was hard to shift and it made a huge difference and never missed a shift.
