so i had my bike dynoed and a custom full tune done, bike started with 117 hp and 70ft lbs on a dk sato low map.:banghead

after all was said and done we ended up with 129.6hp and 74lb ft of torque.:rockon :rockon :rockon :rockon

this dyno is within 2hp +/- from the AMA dyno's

im pretty stoked, rode it last night for the first time in weeks and the gain is definitely noticeable bike runs much smoother and feels alot cleaner. you should see the a/f line, its flat the entire way through the map and the bike pulls like a tractor:notworthy

That's the cats ass ain't it ... People have a hard time describing the night/day difference and the linear power delivery a properly tuned V-twin is capable of;) and to me it's worth every penny to get a custom tune glad to hear you pulled the trigger, now get some more seat time and please report back :clapper :clapper

Now if you could only find some forks J/K

haha spread ur legs tom so i can kick you in the nutz hahaha:p

yeh u know , i didnt think it would make a ton of difference but supposedly with the kyle map my piggy was running super rich. after the tune it the throttle response feels much crisper and when it gets higher in the rpm range its butter, litteraly wants to pull the wheel up in the top of third

I just had mine dyno'ed yesterday. 115 at the wheel on the standard map. Getting fully tuned on the 1st of sept. But my freshly rebuilt forks are binding up like crazy so they have to tear them apart again and find out what is wrong. I will start a pic thread with more details. Cause she is getting a facelift while being torn down this time.

yeh mines putting that 129 down to the wheel. makes a huge difference and its hot as shit up here and pretty muggy so i cant wait to see what she starts doing when it gets cooler and dryer

damn, that makes me want to get it tuned before the end of the season even more. i was going to wait until the winter, but that is a tremendous improvement. i can feel my bike isnt making the power it should be (especially when im getting pulled by 600s down the straights (and im on the gas before them on the exits).

so you got 12 hp with a map then?
yeh thats what it seems, i thought that seemed a little wierd at first but that dyno is almost spot on with the ama dyno's so i guess it was just running super rich before when i got that first baseline done, also added the soft rev mod since the first baseline

oh mark, oops i just realized i forgot to put it in the original post, that 117 number was on a different dyno, when we baselined it on the dyno that we actually did the tuning with the base was averaging between 118 and 120. so technically it picked up around 8-10bhp from the tune

How much did they charge you for a custom tune?

a full tune is $250, but the owner is a buddy of mine and i had previously traded him a brand new alpinestars jacket for the tune
