Crazy f#%ks but they can ride, that is shakey byrne and friends. Surprised a rider of his caliber would resort to that level of street squidness...

Re: good video of some bad riding. (oneducs)

Guess there are morons in England, too. Yeah, they can ride, and they need to show it by splitting traffic on one wheel.

Neddy, help me out. Are these guys "muppets"?

Re: (Giannis)

Pretty sure that is the original "Dream Twins" video from old FastBikes crew. Besides 'Shakey' Bryne, you will also see Gary 'Gazza' Mason (BSB) & Rob 'Frosty' Frost (also BSB & the one who crashes at the end). Prior to their pro racing careers, these guys made a bunch of squidy video's throughout euroland. Such as;

How to Wheelie ... series - Fastpace twisty riding with the usual 5th gear wheelies, all with the english wanker humor. In Part#2, the current MotoGP rider does a standup in a tunnel only to rearend a slowed vechile in the other end. Breaks a bone, but that does not keep him from competiting with Gazza in a 'wheelie contest.

Mach 2 & Return of the Mach - Mainly a journal comparsion of different makes ridden (ie abused) throuought Germany, France & England. Mach 2 saw the intro of the then, Haybusa pinned throughout the speedo (220mph). Return of the Mach had the FB crew pit the 12R against the 'busa to settle the score of "fastest production bike". Entertaining yet also sound with dyno runs, throttle roll-offs, top speed test, etc.

Dream Twins - Another video shootout, but with v-twin config. of course.

They also did a documentary of the MV resurrection, a 600/749 shootout, & A charity adventure ride throughout India on a local brand bike. All video's are quite old & dated, and the riding behavior can nowadays easily be downloaded from your local forum- it was just their attitude & funny attitudes that made them a popular standout.

James, There are morons and muppets to be found everywhere.
However,
These guys are all pro's, and British.
Don't try these antics at home. The plods in Frog are great, they love to look the other way, mostly.
Every now & again me front wheel lifts unintentionally of course.

I figured out after the fact who these dudes were. That's a whole bunch of talent!
Their behavior was a shame, though, as even with all that skill sooner or later
you're going to burn into a car with a kid in it. No one wants to see that.

(When you can't remember your 20's, its easy to be so intolerant and judgemental).

Without considering anything else, that was certainly a display of some 2-wheeled skill.

James, all bs aside, I agree with you, regardless of their talent and all that, it's all fun & games until someone gets hurt. I don't condone such behavior at all TBQH.

Not that I would do such antics but if I had to, I don't behave like a wanker in traffic. That's just not on m8.

oneducs:

I certainly don't condone riding like that on the streets, but I've got to tell ya, my palms were sweating watching it! That's the kind of riding that certainly gets the old adrenaline flowing.

Missing my bike and the family dogs is probably the hardest part about working overseas. I have good communication with my friends and family, but I can't exactly do any riding where I'm at.

So thanks for posting that video link!

is it just me, or does the music remind you of a bad porn video? Hmm. Actually, never mind, this is like porn. :)

...maybe that was why my palms were sweating!

Re: good video of some bad riding. (oneducs)

Lane splitting with on-coming traffic is rather unforgiving.
