Here is our winter project, started in February finished a few days ago. Enjoy!

Started with a 2009 CRF450R frame, and a 1986 CR500R motor. All the chassis parts came from forums, eBay and Honda shops.

What do you guys think?

Nice work, but man did you have to polish it so pretty... it's (almost) too clean to take into the dirt.

You've got to post some vids when done.

How long did it take... love that it's a ebay special... Inventive. Very inventive.

Why did you go with a CRF frame?

A lot of AF 500's I see use a CR250 frame and I'm not sure what the mods it intails to do the swap. Is one easier than the other (CR vs CRF)?

No polishing, been down that road before.

We went with the latest generation Honda frame, which only is a CRF. Modifying a CR frame is simpler than a CRF. Its about the "Y" and the exhaust header.

Maybe, but what money we did save one could buy a nice used mill and tig welder.

You only have to buy the tool once.
