I was woundering if anybody is running this battery and could tell me how its working out ? THEY SAY ITS A GEL CELL BATTERY !

Is that from batteries plus? If you want a solid battery, check out the speedcell (or whatever they call themselves now) and buy a battery charger that you can dial down instead of the "battery tender" brand which takes the standard amps.

You will save a sheet ton of weight and the thing will last forever!:twocents

FWIW, I just ordered a 12-cell unit for my VTR (want enough capacity to handle the high-comp pistons that will be going in soon) after doing some research on these and finding nothing but positive comments. They are priced much more reasonably than comparable designs.

Thanks for the link Simon, so his standard 8cell battery would be ok for a stockish street RC? or is the 12cell a better option?
