Does anyone know off the top of their head if the FI pumps are interchangable or not?

That is 996, Monsta, SS etc.

What do you mean ?

OK, is there any fuel pumps that fit 900 SS tanks other than 900SS to narrow it down?

Re: Fuel Pumps??? (Monstaman)

email me this question, it will remind me to pull a few part numbers. As far as I know a lot of them swap though

Re: Fuel Pumps??? (section8superbike)

My guess is that all of the 2 valve bikes (Monster, MH, SS, etc.) would all use the same one. Not sure as the ECU's are different, but I would think they would all be compatable. Possibly even the same on the SBK's. Ducati would be crazy to use a different fuel pump in each bike.

So what's the verdict Jason??

Re: Fuel Pumps??? (Monstaman)

What I've heard from others (and then confirmed by still more people that I talked to) is that the Superbikes use a fuel pump similar to a Ford Mustang V8, only the Ford is more robust. Carbureted SSs use a pump found on Ford Ranger pickup with the 2.3L engine. I *think* that injected Monsters use the Mustang pump, too.

Pull it out ... take to generic auto parts store ... bring home a match for much much less than Ducati charges.

G'Luck,
Chris
