This part has no cut-outs for the brake lights--it is for race use. However, it can be converted for street use if want to cut two square holes into it to accommodate the tail lamp. The underside does have the 4 mounting posts and wiring guides for the brakelight assembly--Ducati just chose to leave the square holes out for US-bound 998R's. The tailsection was taken off the 998R at 0 miles and is therefore in mint condition--kept indoors and covered from dust. Retail is $1,500. Please make offer.

748R's (not sure about all 3 model years) had tape over the holes. The 998R does not have holes.
