I'm in the process of shimming the stock springs in my SP1 10mm with homemade PVC spacers(collars), and noticed the bottom of the factory collars are tapered at the bottom to fit in the top of the spring. I have had several people tell me they used the same method, so will the springs stay centered without having a tapered end keeping them in place?

Anybody? I'm thinking the spacers will need the tapered ends to keep the springs in place, but it would be nice if someone has had experence and could confirm.
