the rear tire of my 05 800ss has a radial flat 'spot' about 2" wide. there are no 'chicken strips', so don't go there. i ride about 50 percent canyons and 50 percent street. my fianace has been riding with me a lot lately, and it has been in the upper 90s here lately - i don't know if that has to do with anything, but there is actually a 'ridge' between the radial flat spot and the rest of the tire profile, if you can even call it a profile any more. i just took the bike to the local dealership to get a fork seal replace under warranty, and they said they have never seen it before, but there is no way michelin or ducati will do anything about it. any advice? has anyone seen this before? thanks for the help. i'd be lost without this board....
