Was the bike recently brought out of storage? I had a similar issue happen to my supermoto bike upon initial start up after the winter. it went away after the old gas (with stabilizer) was burned off and new fuel was added.

You might have an exhaust gasket gone bad. My money would be on the 1st header joint after the rear cylinder :twocents
