Racer666, your comment just reminded me of a funny question asked to a friend of mine a while back. He rides a Baylis Replica and we were up at Deals Gap suiting up in front of our hotel for a morning ride. A harley rider with a thick NC accent walks up and nicely asks, " You race that thing, or you just put the stickers on it?". My friend sheepishly replied, "no, just the stickers". Needless to say myself and the rest of his friends were rolling on the ground at that point. Maybe you had to be there but It was really funny.

Have gotten some sweet deals via Ebay , on low milage sport bikes.

2000 Bimota SB-8 R Special, 600 miles in 2 years

2002 Duc Bostrom 998 S , 599 miles with $ 3k in aftermarket parts

2000 Duc 996 SPS, 3000 miles in 3 years

and quite a few more with much shine on the tires.

Exactly! Thanks to guys like this, a REAL rider may get the chance to buy a beautiful bike with all those goodies for much less than it would cost him new. I'd rather see a complete poser selling a bike like this than some squidly, teen-age stunty-boy who would have abused and crashed the bike beyond repair...

And the worse part he lives in Auburn, CA (just east of Sacramento), which is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mtns, tons of sweet twisties to use this bike on. What a waste....oh well.
