While watching the qualifying on Speed today I noticed that Nicky's Ducati had a lot of front fork travel. Any ideas?

maybe better traction in certain areas, he certainly knows the track well enough to know

Talk about rough track. Just watched qualifying again. Noticed the Ducatis susupension was pumping like crazy through the 2nd part of the horseshoe (Speed had great slow mo shorts of Vale, Jorge and Stoner going through...and I even slowed it down more and replayed forward and back) to the point of almost having it throw CS out of the seat....whereas the Yama's handled the compression much better!!!

I saw that as well. But if I had to guess I would say that was related to traction control. I beleve Stoners bike was spinning the tire and drifting out causing the pumping. But who knows.
