Anyone have any luck removing the stock stickers on the fairings? any tricks of the trade for this? I'm just replacing my bright white ones with something a bit more stealth but dont want to have to repaint my fairings when i screw them up..

Re: ducati logo removal (matteblackduke)

Should be a relatively easy proposition with a dark model. Just some heat, a fingernail and patience. Adhesive comes off with "goo gone" or WD-40.

Re: ducati logo removal (matteblackduke)

I have the 'flat' grey st4s and read that the stickers are on the outside of the clearcoat or they would look funny which makes me think all others are under the clear coat.
That would mean you are going to have a hard time even with a heat gun. But as I have never tried this, Good luck to you!

Re: ducati logo removal (matteblackduke)

I pulled every sticker off my Monster with a simple hair dryer and some patience. The paint was only 160 miles new so the difference was only visible for a few weeks.

Also used the same method on my black Toyota Tacoma which was approx. 30,000 miles new. Everything went pretty good except for the cheesy TRD logos on the rear which needed a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove the glue. 10k miles later and everything still looks great.
