DP CF side panels

So I got the DP CF side panels and they need a little trim where they meet the frame in the front. Looks like they were designed to work without frame plugs but even when I remove the frame plug it still needs a little trimming. So I bought a Craftsman dremel tool. Now I am wondering which attachment to use, the sanding drum or the silicone carbide grinding stone? New at this so any tips about using this tool and it's use on CF would be appreciated - Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: DP CF side panels (2vtwin)

For minor alterations/trims I always use a hand file followed by wet and dry (wet). If you must use your Dremel, the sanding drum would be the tool to use, just be careful, it's very easy to overdo it and remove too much. Whatever, finish by hand using wet and dry (wet), 320 grit to start with.

Thanks, just need to trim maybe 1/16 to 1/8 off, I'll take your suggestion and use the sanding drum.

Re: DP CF side panels (2vtwin) - Follow-up

Follow-up. Used the sanding drum, wore mask, worked out great trim a little, checl the fit, trim a little check the fit. Looks like they were designed to fit around the frame plug now. Thanks for the tip
