It seem that every RC51 that low sides is guaranteed to have tank damage at either side of the tank where it overhangs from the frame. I've seen carbon fiber tank sliders on a ZX10 but I can't recall anyone making them for our bikes.

My frame sliders have always prevented damage to the tank (and bodywork) in lowsides unless I run out of pavement. I've been using the ones made by Intuitive Race Products.

I thought the only reason for tank sliders was too keep bikes like the R6 from catching fire as they slide along the pavement - not to protect the tank from damage. Sure, you might not scratch it, but I imagine you would still dent it, or possibly damage where it attaches to the frame.
