Re: Discounts on 2005 999s or left over 2004? (Allan Gibbs)

My friend got his 04 999 mono red for $15995.98 OTD from Fresno Ducati. The bike was $14000.00 plus tax and fees.

Re: Discounts on 2005 999s or left over 2004? (Allan Gibbs)

Cyclemoto in Phoenix, AZ offerred me $15,500 on a 2004 yellow bp and would throw in a mono tail.

But now that I've looked into the difference between the '04 and '05 (been out of Ducati's for a while), I'm wondering if an '05 is the way to go. I was able to get a dealer to offer $17,500 OTD (but I'd pay AZ taxes) for a '05 yellow mono.

Then again, I don't really need a second bike (again), especially when the weather is just starting to get hot here. Putting off until September would be the wiser choice. (For the records, when it comes to bikes, I've never made the "wiser choice.")

Phoenix Motorsports in downtown Phoenix also have a 2004 yellow mono going for $15,000.

But I've been playing with the number on a '05 and '04 and the difference considering the discounts I can get on an '05 comes up to about $50 a month.

$14,000 OTD. Excellent. If I decide to go with a '04, I'll print this out to see if the local dealer can match this. I'm sort of undecided if the extra torque and power are worth the $50-$75 a month more for an '05 though.
