·I have owned Ducatis since 1995 and finding the right place to service my bikes has always been a top priority. I have been fortunate to deal with some of the best including Desmosport in San Francisco and GP in San Diego,
I’d like to add my kudos to Cliff’s BMW, Ducati and Aprilia. They have just added Ducati, but are a renowned BMW dealer. I had them do a minor service on my bike, plus some suspension work. These guys are passionate about bikes and it shows in the quality of their work and their commitment to the motorcycling community.
The parts and service guys are pros. David is their Ohlins-certified suspension god and when he looked at my 999 he knew right away what was needed to adjust my California bike to the local riding conditions (read potholes, tar lines and frost heaves). They also have a dyno-shop next door and are an Ohlins-certified repair and rebuild center. In all it was exactly the kind of personal, exacting and committed experience that I look for. Highly recommended.
On another note, I towed up a friends K-bike for a minor service and lot’s of upgrades (his first time to Cliff’s as well). When getting ready to ride my 999 back I realized I left my Held gloves at home. Now I could buy a $40 pair of gloves. Hell, I bet if I asked they would have just lent me a pair. But instead I see a very tasty pair of new Helds with more protection. More protection is good…What are you gonna do? I don’t feel bad though. My friend ended up buying a new bike…
