I've discovered a way to speed up the break-in time on my too-hard Corbin for my Ducati ST3. I got a rubber mallet, covered the seat with a towel, and whacked the hell out of it for about 10 minutes each day for a few days. Much better now.

Re: Corbin Break-In (tbird245)

my sargent (999) was perfect out of the box and much lighter then the Corbin. I know the Corbins are comfy though.

The beauty of the Corbin is that they ARE hard, but are formed to support in the right places. Mine is still rock hard after five years and 100x more comfortable than the stock seat.
