Is anyone wearing a new Bell Star that can compare the fit to a Shoei RF1000 or Arai Corsair (not the new one).
The Shoei and Arai in Med. fits me perfect.

The new Bell Star fits me perfectly. I've got both an Arai RX-7 and a Vector.

The Bell is a REALLY nice helmet. Venting works much better than the Arais. Visor operates smoother. Paint quality is excellent. I can't say anything bad about it.

Medium Arai RX-7 was my first helmet. Then went to a Shoei RF-1000 and X-11.

Picked up a 2008 Bell (large, when the sizing was off, this would be a medium in the 2010 models).

Personal preference of course, but I cannot stand the Bell. It feels like it exposes my chin. The pads touch a lot less of my face. More air flow, but what I consider too much from underneath. Very noisy for me. The anti-fog shield does nothing but fog within 100 feet of my garage in SoCal.

Mfg quality seems high, comes with a nice bag...just not for me.

I saw the end of season deals for the Bell and was interested too. I have an Arai, but I feel like the front of the helmet is too close to my face..I know it sounds weird, but I can stick my tounge out and touch the front of the helmet. I feel like I am going to get jacked up if I do crash. Is the bell "longer" ?

I had a Shoei and a Suomy prior to buying my Bell Star. I love this helmet. It vents so well that a breeze will flow through the helmet when sitting still. I have had zero fogging problems with mine in all types of weather, and the quality is top notch. The cheek pads fit me well, and the visor adjustment/ lock is a nice touch. The helmet bag is a cool freebie too, and great quality too.
