Clutch Slave Bolts

Hello all,

I'm trying to find/figure out the torque value(s) of the clutch slave bolts, (NOT the banjo bolt for the hydraulic line). I tried to look up other values for 8mm bolts on the RC and it seems that they're around 13-17 lbs but I am still uncomfortable not knowing for sure. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

IF you are talking about the 3 bolts which go into the sprocket cover...? Those I have always used a 1/4"driv rachet 8mm socket with an extension, "A good\med. Snug by Hand".
However the actual torque is (I'm very sure) is 5 to 6 lbs +1\minus 0.

I'll look it up when I get home...

I Hope this Helps,

Peace Jeff
thanks Jeff,

that helps a lot. Your info sounds about right...it wasn't too hard taking loosening the bolts (very scientific and accurate I know) so that's why I hesitated torquing these down that far. Let me know what you find out!

My rule of thumb is make it tight till it seats then 1/4 turn. As the weather starts to get cooler I always just check some of the major bolts before a ride.
Okay here you go XXPilot,

Reading My :D HONDA Service manual... it ONLY says to "tighten the mounting bolts securely"

HUMMM NO torque spec... I'm guessing IF you look at these bolts and compare them to others of the same size like the side covers, HONDA might give a spec. then Yes/No?

Damn, just looked and I see NO torque spec. there ether..

Peace Jeff
