The manual states that the 8 bolts that hold the clutch basket in should be replaced after they've been removed (At least in the 996R manual I'm using for my 998). Is this necessary? and why?

I think it has to do with the bolt stretching from the first use of torque. I have reused mine before with no trouble. I just cleaned them up, reapplied new loctight and torqued to spec.

Thanks guys,
yeah only torqued up to 25ft/lbs so I can't see the necessity to change em. Just wondered if I was overlooking something someone else had learnt the hard way.
