Clear Coating CF Airbox(sorry wrong Page)

One side of my airbox is faded, it lightly scuffed it with 600 applied a coat of clear and it is know full of little airpockets, aprt form painting it is there any way to fix this?

Try and sand it with 1000 and get it smoother, then use 1500.. The 600 might have gone through the original clear coating over the carbon fiber? If that's the case you might have to fill the problem area, and paint. 600 is a bit to course for clear coating to be applied on. Either way you don't want to go through the clear of the original clear and into the fiber. If you did not get into the fiber you should be ok, unless the clear is reacting with the original clear or something else. try a clear enamel. That seems always a bit for resistant to reacting to what's under it. Just speaking from experience. Good luck. Do a search here also. I saw someone re cleared their carbon front fender.. I thing it was brettmess?

Make sure the air quality is good where you are painting. I used to do paint repair at car dealers and if they were using Armor All anywhere near where I was painting it would "fisheye" like that.
