Man, thats a hard pill to swallow, three people casually stroll over to him and don't even bend down to him. I would understand if they dudes head was turned around backward or something but ****, come on people...at least the garbage man got out and went up to him. As a diver in the military, we're taught to move with a purpose in a diving casualty, hell ANY casualty for that matter cause someones life is on the line. Granted, the bike took him out but come on, at least act like a descent human being and try to render aid. :banghead rant over.
He may have ultimately died from his injuries, but he sure has hell died due to no prompt First Aid.
What goes around, comes around, and THEY better not have a serious accident.
Then it can be their turn for pedestrians to step over their quivering, dying carcass in the road. Karma's a bitch.

it's possible the dude was so obviously dead they didn't want to get near! People are by nature afraid to jump right in, maybe they had no training, no clue how to help.....
i'm pretty sure i'd be walking in circles too not really knowing what to do other than call 911. Not everyone's a medic and ex-military.

that was so sad to see those people walked around but maybe..just maybe they had a better view than the camera. However, if they were just scared and not wanting to take action? Most people just don't know what to do..I've seen it a few times already.

I hate forums that are all prissy and righteous.
Motorcycling has good and bad to it.
I've had two people die on me. The first with a gunshot to the heart, the second was a rider who had a freak accident and took a footpeg to the chest.No mohawk on his helmet? :wtf

Both destroyed the aorta, and technically both were dead within minutes.
But I still kept at it until relieved by the medics. Never give up until told to.
Only when relieved can you allow your feelings to return. Those who've been in the military know all the training they've had.
For some it's a lost cause, for some it's a life saved, but to do nothing condemns them all to the grave.

sad that nobody even checked for a pulse. I watched a good friend run wide into a head on. it was the most violent thing I've ever witnessed. from 3 bikes back there was no doubt that he had expired instantly. I still checked to see if there was any hope, any sign of life. It is very evident when somebody didn't make it, but you have to at least get close enough to tell. It took 6 hrs of investigation and a 50 mile ride home before I stopped freaking out and finally broke down. strange things happen at times like that in ones mind. some people react, some people clam up. I can't fault them, but it's sad for the victim.

The training that we receive in the military should be taught in high school. Why would you not want someone to know how to give proper CPR or apply tourniquet (and know when one is necessary). I'm sure with the way our education system works, it would all go to shit anyways.
I would love to take credit for the handful of people I may have saved just knowing those two very basic first aid techniques, but it was my training that saved their lives, not me. Worst case scenario, you are too late, or you are there to comfort someone in the last moments they have in this world.
The only time I haven't tried to render aid was a decapitation.

Can't fault you or anyone..it's human.
I hate that feeling of WHAT IF?? And honestly, if I clam up..man, don't know if I can looked in the mirror the same.
Figure out what you can do if this happens or that happens.
People at the scene really do want to help. Tell them to do so. I've been at a few bad accidents. Thankfully, RN/first responders were freaking seconds away. Lucky for the those riders.
Delegated myself to traffic enforcement to secure the scene.
Do something. Do anything. Or at the least don't be in the freaking way.:banghead
