I was wondering if some of you guys using the barnett clutch springs could give some feedback and explain why they are prefered over the OEM clutch springs.

Some reading i did on the fireblades forum stated they were good, but didn't really mention why.

If infact they are prefered, where would be the cheapest place to buy them from be? I founf them on ebay for 24.95.

As a side topic, is discounthondaparts.com a good and cheap place to buy OEM honda parts from. I am jsut going for the fibres and discs.

Thanks guys,

Adrian

Not sure on the RC, but Barnett springs are typically stiffer (about 20% if I remember correctly). More spring pressure, better lock-up and less slippage. More important on larger motors.

The hot thing on my old SV was to mix Barnett's with the stock SV springs. You got a bit firmer lever (cable clutch) and better lock-up, also much better "agressive" starts/race lauches.
