Is this a dumb question? It seems to me that with all the movement of full floaters, balancing w/ them on will spin them into a certain position that may not reflect real world conditions with a little drag on the rotors by the pads. IOW, they'll find a centrifugal "home" that may not be accurate when they are mounted on the bike under braking and normal riding conditions.

So, do you balance the front wheel with or without them?

Balance with everything mounted. The floaters make no difference with your balancing...

Think about it, what if the disc moves a mm or less either way, are you going to stick your wheel weights within a mm of where they should be? Leave em on, I have for years and I get my wheels balanced to a couple of grams, the factory only gets within 5-10.
