I read that Mladin didn't use any qualifiers for Road Atlanta but it doesn't say if the Superstock riders are using them. DiSalvo ran a time quick enough for 2nd on the Superbike grid with a Superstock bike.

I sure wish Yamaha and Kawasaki would get back into Superbike.:wtf

Can't see why they wouldn't run Q's in Stock. They use 17 inch slicks, but Superbike guys are on 16.5 inch slicks. From what I understand 16.5 inch slicks perform better. More technology is invested into 16.5 inch slicks.

Don't they have to run DOT's?
not in superstock, even 'stock' literbikes are too powerful for street tires being ridden at race pace.

and SP8 makes a good point, I dunno if they even make Qs in 17"

They had to at one point, if not now. The late 90's GP500 bikes used 17 inch wheels. I think the first MotoGP bikes did too. The first RC211V had a 17 inch front wheel, and 16.5 inch rear.

They mentioned Q tires were used in Superstock at the Road Atlanta race.
