I second that, no feedback and doesn't accept Paypal? I would be hesitant.

I emailed him and he said he would take paypal. What does that do for me though?

Re: Anyone know this eBay seller (rotty900ss)

Ask him some questions. He says "paperwork comes with shock". Ask him where he bought it. Think of some other questions...something that will help make you comfortable.

Everybody who sells on ebay, starts with zero feedback.
If he will accept paypal, that is a good start on his part. It provides you with certain protections. Accepting paypal costs him money, that is the primary reason some sellers chose not to do so. Maybe he is just learning how to figure it all out [or maybe he is a crook...lol

Re: Anyone know this eBay seller (socal)

I've only bought stuff on ebay, never sold, but if/when I do, I'd start with no history and I wouldn't accept paypal either. I give my bank account numbers to no one, and if that means I wait longer for a buyer, so be it.

Re: Anyone know this eBay seller (rotty900ss)

I emailed him when he first listed the shock, asking for a pic, said he had no digital camera, so could not provide pix. He didn't seem to interested in convincing me of its real existance.

no one bid on it, and now it's relisted. I was thinking about bidding, but the zero feedback has discouraged me.

I live in Stamford, CT. Tell him you have a friend who will pick it up, or meet him 1/2 way w/cash.
see what he says [this is meant to be a test...if he agrees, we will sort it out]

I use a CC with a $300 limit so if something happens they can only do so much damage. If it is more that 3 Bills then I go local.

Re: Anyone know this eBay seller (socal)

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to pass on the shock. It just seems to 50/50 for my taste. Also, the bike is set up pretty well to start with. The money could be spent somewhere more useful.

Thanks again.

BTW, he told me the reserve is $650 and that he would take that right now.
