Anyone else fall asleep watching AMA SBK? (non spoiler)

AMA SBK has become a snoozefest. I actually fell asleep watching race 2 today. And it had nothing to do with being out late in NYC partying and checking out the Audioslave concert last night.

But seriously, AMA SBK is just plain dull these days. AMA Supersport at least has some suspense and close racing.

For whatever it's worth, it was nice to see the Ducati's close to the front!!! Hodgsen had it in the bag until he messed up!

Yeah, what happened to Hodgson was sad. I hate to say it but those Suzuki's have unreal top end on the straights. It takes real rider skill to make up for that the straight line advantage of the Suzukis in the corners.

Why do the Ducs have such a hp shortfall?

I know I might get in trouble for saying this, but I find AMA SBK to be more enjoyable than MotoGP. The first race of this weekend was great.

The duc's dont have the super gas and don't get mad at me but the suzuki is that damn good. A friend who turns wrench on the side for privateers mention to me that the bike simply rocks right out of the box.

Watching Mladin run at the front all day is not that interesting. I'd rather watch Rossi run at or near the front. Lets hope Ducati can get the 999 some ponies sooner than later. And it would be nice to see Honda get it's CBR1000 set up right so that good ol' Migual can get up near the front too. Suzuki fest is just putting me to...........................ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

They only have 2 cylinders.

World Superbike is pretty much the same snoozefest. Corser seems untouchable. You gotta hand it to Suzuki though. They've created a brand new bike and in its first year, taken it to the front of the pack. That speaks to how good the bike is straight out of the box. On the other hand though, have you seen a stock one in person--it's damn ugly. It makes the ZX-9R look like an RC30.

I was really cheering Neil on jumping up and down, too bad he messed up. Neil will kick ass next time.

Matt, well buddy I am getting tired of watching you ride around all by yourself. You are the "Man" but maybe it is time for you to move on up and let sombody else get a shot. I really hated that your bike sh*t the bed in race one but you will have that sometimes.
I got too busy working on my own bike to catch race two. After watching the
Water Festival and AMA race one I needed a turn with mine. I could not believe the rain for the Moto GP race. How the hell could anybody see anything if they were not up front, it looked more like a boat race.Those guys got balls of iron.

you didn't think olivier jacque's attack on the kawi was exciting to watch? oj was hot for being off a bike for over a year. true, the tires he had helped, and being down on power helped in the rain, but man, he was on rails and would have gave rossi a run if there were a few more laps in the race.

then go back one race to the final lap with rossi and gibernau trading the lead a few times and trading paint in the last corner, now that was exciting.

anyway, it's all better than nascar
