im trying to adjust the rear preload on the stock shock with the supplied spanner and i cant get this sucker to move. ive used a little liquid wrench on the adjustable part, i have the rear of the bike unloaded so there is no extra weight, and im no slouch. i put a breaker bar on the end of the stock spanner but it wont keep contact with the shock and keeps popping out of the holes. i need to get this sucker to move so any tricks or ideas would be appreciated.

i used the supplied spanner wrench, then i used my breaker bar as a punch so to speak with a rubber mallet. i didnt want to use the old screwdriver method and scar up the slots on the shock. the supplied spanner wrench alone was so freaking short you could not get enough leverage on it to adjust the preload. at least not to increase the preload, perhaps if i was going down it would have moved easier.
