If anyone has an aluminum battery box with the Ducati fling logo on a 998, can you please post some pictures of it and let me know how you installed it. I have some questions regarding its installation on my bike:

1. Did you drill new holes for the voltage regulator (because the ones that are provided are too far spaced out)?
2. Where did you attach the ECU?
3. What did you end up doing with the third mounting screw for the box, did you use it at all?
4. Where did you relocated the starter solenoid?
5. Where did you place the relays and the starter fuse?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Aluminum battery box tray 998 installation (BlackHawk)

Okay, let me change the question since no1 is helping.

Has anyone moved there ECU or starter solenoid, if so let me know where and how, or if it’s too much to ask to take a picture of it.

Same application would be on a carbon corsa battery box.

Sorry,dude... I don't have an answer for you. But I didn't want you to think no one cared.

My solution to the battery thing was to relocate it under the tail. But... that's of no help to you.

I'd just do what it takes to make the thing fit and call it a day.

Well, where did you end up putting the ECU, when you relocated the battery?

Mental,
I know it is splitting hairs, but when you put the battery up high in the tail and the ecu on the side down low, didn't your trade make more weight higher up?

Except for the part that holds the ECU.

That's why I did it anyway.

Does anyone here seriously think they'd notice that difference....? If anyone is worried about it, just take a big shit before hitting the track.

I weigh 165 lbs soaking wet. Difference in rider weight would be a far greater concern.
If you really want to split hairs... lets weigh helmets.

Just an update on the battery box installation. To me it looks a bit too cluttered, what do you guys think?
