I crashed my 04' and destroyed the snorkel (among other things!) and I need advice on a replacement. Do any of the aftermarket CF units add that much performance or weight reduction to make them worth while? I know that the CF bling factor adds a lot for some people but I just want my RC to run it's best. I would rather spend the money on an airbox, or pipes if the gain is minimal or non-existant. Thanks

Re: Air intake snorkel advice (brvt1000)

You can find the stock ones on ebay usually. I would imagine that going with an aftermarket snorkle is only going to benefit you if you are planning on replacing the air box and gettting some custom dyno work done. Money better spent on suspension work.

Re: Air intake snorkel advice (ebnash)

Keep in mind all the aftermarket snorkles I've seen are for track use only as the don't come with mount points for the headlights.

Doing a snorkle without a larger airbox is a waste of $.

It sounds like the stocker is the way to go. Does the stock snorkel work well enough with an aftermarket airbox (Thorston, Mori, etc.)?
