Every time I've messed with the air box, the only things that were a pain were the wires to the shower injectors. I leave them hooked up. Other then that... tain't no thang.
1. Remove gas tank
2. Remove in-box filter if you have one
3. Disconnect the air intake runners from the air box (2 clips, top and bottom per runner)
4. Twist off the velocity stacks
5. Unscrew the six bolts for the air box and you're in like flint
