Actually, no he's not that optimistic. That's about the going price for the real deal HRC / Akra exhaust. He's high by about $750 USD, but he's in the ball park.
The longer he sits on them, the move valuable they'll become.
Of course unless your engine is highly modified they're worthless to the normal RC owner outside of looking absolutely amazing.
