I am using a straight punch that is the same diameter as the holes in the adjuster. I use a set of dial calipers to get the adjustments the same on both sides.
I've been using a hex key too but it's not great. It tends to bung up the round holes a bit when you tighten/loosen. You know, that whole "square peg round hole" stuff. Also slips sometimes so neighbors can hear f^@! when hand slams into rear stand.
