Comming up in June there is a 1k 24 hour endurance ride my self and a few others are doing it on our rc51's The rest of the RC riders are pussing out, Here is a great chance to put it in there faces and prove you guys are bigger than them.
This is a charity ride for a great program here is CA called CEID They are a school for Deaf Children They do a great service for the community I know as my Deaf child went to school there.you can ck them out athttp://ceid.org as I said before this is a charity ride lets see how many of your Ducks can make a 1000 miles in one ride

You can sign up at http://cal24.com I spoke to the organiser today and there are about 50 spots left so you have to sign up soon.

Re: 24 hour endurance ride (twotone)

OK when yer done then we can compare the number of SS1k's and BBGs that youve done to those Ive done on my Duc.
Im always up for a good rally though.

FTR (for the record):
a SS1k is 1000 miles in 24 hours
a BBG is 1500 miles in 24 hours

Ive got 4 SS1ks and 2 BBGs all recognized by the IBA (Iron Butt Association) 3 of these are on my 1990 851 Superbike one was done on a Cagiva Gran Canyon.

Re: 24 hour endurance ride (Ducman851)

I am not trying to compare, just trying to get some folks out for a good cause
and I found the rc guys are wimping
out I was hoping some of you would step up.

Re: 24 hour endurance ride (twotone)

I agree with you it does sound like a great cause, and I was only busting on ya right back
Ive commited to 2 other rallys this summer plus racing and dirt riding. Ill see if this one can be squeezed into the schedule.

I already see my friend Eric Jewel has discovered the rally, since he won it last year.

Re: 24 hour endurance ride (Ducman851)

Right on this should be a blast hope you can make it I spoke with the organizer and spots are filling quickly a few more weeks and he says they will be full. It's too bad that more ppl aren't into these rides all my buds have boned out on me they are all afraid of riding in the dark after 14-15 hours on the road.

By the # of responses here it looks like the Duck riders a as much a bunch of pussy's as the RC riders shame on that

Later Joe

FWIW:
there are 7 IBA certified RC51's.
there are 79 IBA certified Ducatis ('though predominantly ST's).

I think the ducs are doing better than the RC's

BTW, have fun on the ride!
