Re: 2005 999r tail section to trade (nsaneduc)

Is the 2005 999R interchangeable with a 2003 999 biposto? I want to convert mine to a mono.

Shoot me an email to [email protected], we can work out the details. I just got my Sharkskinz for my bike and need to take off all of the stock bodywork.

This guy has (2) 999r and a 749r and other bikes!! I thought I was bad, but you make me look good. I showed my wife all the bikes you have and she told me to buy another one. I'm thinking MV 1000 for a street bike!

It will hook right up as long as you have the mono subframe. If you try sticking mono plastic on the bip sub frame, the back part of the frame sticks out from under the plastic.

Are all the 05 model subframe all black or were prior year models black as well?

Re: 2005 999r tail section to trade (Rlbol)

05's are all black. I painted mine (2004) and it looks great. I would recommend painting it black no matter what. I think it cleans up the look nicely.

Cool. I am heading to California on Sunday, will be back on the east coast on Thursday. Let me know when you are ready and I'll disassemble my bike.
