2003 Honda RC51 track bike. 1000cc V-twin superbike. Still for sale, but added new rear shock and linkage.

Bike is located in Houston, TX. May help with delivery, depending on how far and the sale price.

2003 RC51
17,XXX miles
Race bodywork
Jardine Ti race baffle exhaust
Penske Double rear shock.
HRC style rear suspension link.
Ohlins internals in front forks (set up by Thermosman)
Vortex clip ons
ASV levers
Woodcraft rearsets
Scotts (Ohlins) steering damper
Galfer SS brake and clutch lines
HRC front pads
Keyless gas cap
Zero Gravity double bubble screen
Fully safety wired

Bike has an AL salvage title, and no street stuff.

$4500

Price is negotiable so feel free to make an offer. I may not accept it, but doesn't hurt to try!

Not parting anything out at the moment, so back off you vultures! I may consider it though if I can get serious interest on the big items - frame, motor, wheels, etc. May keep the motor and make a coffee table art piece out of it!

....the price is so low that Honda will not let me advertise it!

Hehe, funny tag line.

Unfortunately the market for running RC's aren't all that strong right now. Not sure why cause folks seem to think the parts on them are gold. The major issue would be the salvage title. That is absolutely killing you here. Would venture to say that'll put on at least a 1,500 hit. Odd though because i don't think one could sell even a good frame for that much right now. Probably couldn't even get over 1k.
Might just have to say eff it and ride until the economy picks up some more. Just don't hold your breath waiting for it.

Wishin you the best of luck with this, so here's a bump.

Thanks for the bump. I realize that the economy is in the dumps, and even in a best case the RC51 is not as desireable a bike as others. I am surprised I have not even gotten a bite or even a lowball offer!

I may end up parting it out, although I would hate to end up with a garage full of RC51 parts. Might as well just keep it and display it in the living room.

One last try before the parts start flying?

I really would like to get somebody interested in the frame and motor before I tear the thing apart though. Feel free to PM me low ball offers.

Wish I had the cash to buy it, although the '51 is an "outdated" track bike, I still want one to compliment my street bike. A dedicated trackday bike is something I really want and I LOVE the RC51.

If, by some horrible chance that you have to part this out, I'm interested in the rearsets. Not calling "dib's" since you haven't said you're parting the bike, but keep me in mind.
