The quick release seat mod is one that does not require a 10mm socket to remove the two bolts but rather a threaded post and "R" type clip (and possibly a washer) to hold the two rear mounting points to the posts. It's pretty cool if you take your seat off a lot.:twocents

that guy nailed it on the head.. only reason i went ahead and did it was i was messing with my quickshifter and was in and out of my pc3 and i worked late the night we were leaving for a trackday and i left the seat bolts out but i had the seat just setting there and my buds loaded my bike and gear up and as soon as i got home we took off for the track. Well first session i'm about to pull out of the grid and i moved on the seat and the same came with me. Needless to say my bolts were at the house. So when i got home i fixed it so i will not have that problem again. Even if the pins aren't in the seat isn't going anywhere.
