Immigrants and Welfare

It's old news but I doubt things have changes by now and those who don't know about it should know about it.

Center for Immigration Studies

"A Center for Immigration Studies analysis of 2006 Census Bureau data, which includes legal and illegal immigrants, shows use of welfare by households headed by Mexican and Latin American immigrants is more than double that of native households."

So, the question is:
Why do we continue to allow more immigrants into this country than the rest of the world COMBINED?

Don't Americans need jobs?
Doesn't more labor mean lower wages? Supply and demand.

And isn't it time to end the anchor baby clause of the 14th Amendment?

King Hussein Obama just granted amnesty-by-decree to 1.7 million illegal immigrants yesterday.

Chicago Dream Relief in Demand

The turnout for Wednesday's Dream Relief workshop in Chicago was so strong that organizers began turning people away.

Locals know the venue as Navy Pier, but Rep. Luis Gutierrez called it something different.

"Navy Pier is today's Ellis Island.* And while they saw New York City, today, they see Chicago," Gutierrez said.

The line of undocumented students wrapped around Navy Pier and at one point across the Chicago River to apply for deferred action to allow them, at least in the short-term, not to worry about deportation. Organizers estimated the turnout at more than 11,000 young people.

"This is what America's about.* This is what their parents came to this country* for," said Laurence Benito, CEO of the Illinois Coalition for Immigration and Refugee Rights.

Following a major immigration policy change about two months ago, the Dream Relief workshop helps children who were illegally brought into the United States apply for a work permit and even a driver's license.

Five thousand people initially signed up for the workshop, and as the 9 a.m. start time came and went, the crowds kept filing toward the lake. Organizers said they would be able to provide full services for 1,500 people today and partial services to another 6,000.*

"This shows that a lot of us actually want to get ahead in life. It's just that for a couple numbers, Social Security card, we can't do anything," said one applicant who didn't want to be named because of her undocumented status.

The new policy announced by President Barack Obama this summer took effect Wednesday and will allow more than 75,000 young undocumented immigrants in Illinois and 1.7 million across the country the temporary right to live and work openly in the United States.

Old Fart seems to have forgotten what Republicans have done about immigration over the recent decades. They've done next to nothing to stop it and in fact have even granted amnesty.

"...amnesty has been an important and regular feature of federal immigration policy for well over a century."

Only in the minds of right wing retardoes is Obama "the problem". Obama is the Deporter in Chief. Check the numbers.
http://www.usimmigrationnewspaper.co...67:cover-story
"In a shocking revelation that sent chills down the spine of all illegal aliens in the United States, it was revealed on October 26, 2011 by the Department of Homeland Security that the Obama administration succeeded in deporting 396,906 immigrants from the United States.
This is acclaimed to be the largest record ever attained by any past U.S. President in deportation. For this unwanted record, President Obama earns thumbs down from the U.S. Immigration News. It is incomprehensible to learn that the son of an immigrant from Africa will deport his brothers and sisters to earn accolades from the same people that did not vote for him."

I've always been against illegal immigration and even against our excessive amount of legal immigration. But if Republicans are going to be so dim witted about it I might just start supporting the whole corrupt system. After all, we are talking about THIS Republican Party, not the Grand Old Party. They and their Evangelical whip crackers deserve what they get, IMO. Maybe it's come to that. Abort yourselves, you pricks.
