PILOT USA Leathers: Custom suits worth it?

Shopping around for leather and Pilot USA & Heroic racing are on the final list.
being a bigger guy and well haev the money so want something that will fit me properly.
Does anyone have exeprience with PILOT USA?
They are saying $1200 for a set, which i am fine with but i am pretty sure they are being made in taiwan or some sweat shop..

anyone that can chime in please give me your thoughts.

Custom

If you have the Money custom is the only way to go.

They just fit better which makes you more comfortable etc.

Todd at Heroic!!! Good stuff plus he's at most of the AMA races, meaning he's easy to find.

Vanson's custom suits are still made in the US (Fall River, MA.) Heaviest leather out there!- Call them.

Yeah, but those kids have such nice workmenship! Just kidding! Like it was said before if you have the cash for custom made, do it!!!! By far better then any off the rack you can buy! I've had Bates, Alpinstar & Spyke and by far the Spykes are the best ones!

I haven't received mine yet, but decided to try a set of pilots. One of my recits said somethink like "approved by AGV" so they may be of the same quality. I'm short and stocky so I'm am dying to try a set of leathers with a different comfort level

My last experience dealing with custom leathers and Vanson was a nightmare.

In their defense, they finally made things right....after MANY phone calls.

Doubt I could ever deal with them again.

Try Spartan apperal. I have been running thier leathers for a few years now and they crash better than my Sidi, and Technik's, which were done after a couple of low sides. Their custom suit price is about half most custom suits since they are made in Pakistan (same place AGV is made)

I have been super happy with my suit from NJK. Kelcey does an awesome job with his suits and they are made in house.
